Our first and full day at E-Camp,

The morning routine began at 6:00 A.M. once again, today was our day hike to the top of firescrew and cardigan, some groups would soon after move on to South Peak, Rimrock, and Orange mtns. After breakfast, which consisted of eggs and bacon, we packed our bags and headed off on our hike. Our agenda, was to hike Firescrew, Cardigan, South peak, and Rimrock. Which by the way, we completed! So, our hike up to the top of firescrew was probably about 1.5-2 hours long. On the way up, we managed to drop over 25 waypoints, and learn some stuff about a tree that has poisonous berries, this was an example of human environment interaction because we pulled a few berries off the tree to open them up to see the inside, to observe and try to figure out what made them poisonous. Then after the first frost of the year, they are no longer poisonous. I thought that was pretty fascinating and cool that the animals knew that they could eat them after the first frost. After summiting all planned mountains the trek began back to the lodge where we all stepped in at the same time as a team. We would then move onto dinner, and a reading from Mr. Woolner. Following a quick shower, came bedtime for our last time as 7th graders at cardigan. Closing the second day at cardigan.
